Risk-Reward Ratio

Risk Management

Definition

The relationship between your potential loss (stop-loss) and potential gain (take-profit) on a trade. 1:2 means risking $1 to make $2.

Example

With a 15-pip stop-loss and 30-pip take-profit, your R:R is 1:2. You only need a 34% win rate to be profitable.
